Last time I mentioned bank cd accounts. Its amazing how fast you start to invest in one thing that another thing seems to be better. recently we were looking at the best cd rates to invest in, but times have changed, and with the tides turning, we are looking at once again throwing money in an online savings account.

The money we have gotten from doing photography this past year has been quite good, and with businesses wanting to outshine others in a rough economy, there has been ample opportunity to do groups photographing at local parks and other places of beauty.

The more down to earth a business looks in their photographs while still maintaining a professional view, the more they are likely to obtain clients that are not only extremely business minded, but also the guy that is down to earth with money saved over a long period of time. Thi is simeply catering to both types of clents, and can be a very good thing if done correctly.

So now that the money is available for yet another quarter of investing we are out in search for the best savings account to put our money in. Once we find something worth while investing in then we will probably drop the money and let it ride.

One of the most great and sometimes disastrous things about photography is photographing things that are shiny. I did some photos recently for a guy that owned a store and blog on Celtic sterling silver. All I can say is that it was amazing how bright the photos were getting. I was shooting with lenses that gave me some of the most amazing effects.

The fact that the Celtic jewelry was sterling silver, and also that it had lots of contours, allowed me to get to it from so many different angles. The shimmers from the different shapes and jewels that were laid in the silver was amazing.

I had a lot of success with non blur stills. I was really pleased with how things turned out, and I hope Jerry will come back again. By the way, he gave me a nice Celtic sterling silver ring which was gorgeous.

One of the funniest things I have seen in a while is this photo of lawyers with no pants on. One of them who goes by the name of Big Ron. I think you can guess who that is, is a birth injury lawyer in the Chicago area. These guys were apparently doing this even for charity, and to help children with disabilities. What a funny as heck way to do it for sure. If your going to do something, you might as well do it big. Especially when your a bigshot lawyer or attorney.

Our hearts go out to all the kids with cerebral palsy and other disorders who have had to suffer being tough for most their lives. All we can say is its you guys as parents and kids who have this battle who are true heroes!

One of the things from time to time I see people asking is what settings a particular photographer used to get a certain effect from a setting or a scene with a photo. This however is probably one of the worse questions that could be asked from many reasons. First of all, each photo will never have the same set of circumstances to create that moment to be replicated. What this essentially means is that a photographer will need to be able to adjust at a moments notice to get the right look and feel of emotion for that piece.

Its not to say that someone shouldn’t reveal how they got to a certain point, but it should be a reminder that there are no such particular settings. Each photographer should grow his or her own abilities to create something unique.
